LG is going to launch another low budget smartphone – L60 in the Indian market. It will be an addition to its L-III series portfolio in the country. The phone has been listed at online retailer Flipkart as coming soon.
There is no official word on the pricing and the availability date, however complete specifications along with images have been publisted on the website. An Amazon India listing however suggests that the phone could be priced at INR 7,990.
To remind you, LG originally announced the L-Series III during the February this year and the smartphone was launched in Russia earlier this month.
Coming to the specifications, it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and is powered by 1.3 GHz dual core processor with 512MB of RAM. In addition, the phone packs a 4.3-inch WVGA screen, 4GB of internal memory with the facility to expand it to 32 GB with microSD card, 5MP rear camera with LED flash, 0.3 MP VGA front camera and dual-SIM card slot. The LG L60 also comes with the support of 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS connectivity.
Gionee, the Chinese mobile manufacturer, is ready to release its slimmest smartphone till date. The company has released a teaser, in which they show historic list of slimmest smartphones that have been launched since 2007. Moto V8 was the slimmest device at one time with 11.9mm thickness. In 2010, iPhone 4 grabbed the slimmest design and Moto XT910 became the slimmest phone in 2011. Gionee’s own S5.5 is the thinnest smartphone until now.
If you look at the company’s past track record, they are capable of producing slimmer smartphones than their previous devices without compromising on battery life and other smartphone features.
There has been rumours that Gionee is making a 5mm thick smartphone but nothing is comfirmed right now. We hope to hear more details soon.
Sony India has launched its Xperia C3 dual, the selfie phone in the country. The smartphone was originally unveiled last month. It has been priced at INR 23,990 in the Indian market and will go on sale at Sony centres and all major mobile stores starting Monday, September 1.
Coming to the specifications, it runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) OS and is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor. In addition, it packs a 5.5-inch 720p HD display, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal memory with option to expand via microSD card, 8MP rear camera, 5MP front camera and 2500mAh battery.
The highlight of Sony Xperia C3 smartphone is its 5MP front camera with a 25mm wide-angle lens that Sony claims delivers an 80-degree field of view. The device is targeted basically to selfies lovers.
The smartphone will be available in Black, White and Mint colour options. To remind you, the smartphone has already been released in China, Taiwan and Russia.
LG has released a teaser video showing a rounded-design smartwatch. There has been lot of rumours and leaks that LG is going to unveil a new wearable device at IFA 2014 and now the teaser video confirms it.
The teaser has been released over LG’s global YouTube channel shows the unlike the company’s G Watch, the upcoming wearable with a round face and will be competing with Moto 360 smartwatch. No details about available at this point but the overall features of the device will most likely be same as other Android Wear products.
LG is not the only company coming with a wearable at IFA, Asus and Motorola are also going to launch their wearable devices during the trade fair.
Oppo Neo 5 is officially available at RM598 in Malaysia. The company announced the news on its official Facebook page. The smartphone is a new version of Oppo Neo smartphone and comes with 4G connectivity option.

Novo7Tech has revealed the key details about the availability of new THL T6S smartphone on their official Facebook page. The smartphone will be launched on September 5 in the Philippines.
THL T6S runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) and is powered by 1.3GHz MTK6582M quad-core processor. In addition, it packs a 5-inches JDI FWVGA display, 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal memory with option to expand up to via 32GB via microSD card, 5MP rear camera, VGA front camera and 1900mAh battery.
In terms of connectivity, the phone comes with 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The smartphone will be sold at Php 3,999.
Earlier, Novo7 Tech has announced the arrival of Android smartphone THL 5000 in Philippines in the first week of September. The phone comes with 5-inch IPS display with Gorilla Glass 3. The device will be released with a price-tag of Php 11,999.
Gionee, the Chinese mobile Manufacturer, has launched its Elife E7 mini smartphone in Philippines. The company announced the news on its official Facebook page nearly nine month after the smartphone officially made its debut in China.
Talking about the specifications, the smartphone runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) and is powered by 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6592 octa-core processor. In addition, it packs 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory (non-expandable), 13MP rear camera with LED flash, 2MP front facing camera and 2200mAh battery.
The smartphone is a dual SIM device and comes with 3G/HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS connectivity options. It has been priced at Php 13,999.The phone will be getting a tough competition from Xiaomi Mi 3, which is available at Php 10,599 in the country and packs better specifications than what Gionee is offering with E7 Mini.
