Huawei Mate 10 Pro coming to Malaysia on November 24

Huawei Mate 10 ProChinese smartphone maker Huawei has revealed that it will be releasing the new Mate 10 Pro smartphone in Malaysia on November 24. The phone will join its cousin Mate 10, which is already on sale in the country.

Oppo Neo 5 now available at RM598 in Malaysia

oppo neo 5Oppo Neo 5 is officially available at RM598 in Malaysia. The company announced the news on its official Facebook page. The smartphone is a new version of Oppo Neo smartphone and comes with 4G connectivity option.

Coming to the specifications, it runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) and is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor. In addition, Oppo Neo 5 packs 4.5 inches display with 854×480 resolution, 1GB of RAM, 4GB internal memory with option to expand up to 32GB via microSD card, 5Mp rear camera, 2MP front camera and 1900mAh battery. The smartphone also comes with USB OTG function.

15K Redmi Note & 2K Mi 3 phones to go on sale on Aug 26 in Malaysia

mi 3 sale malaysiaXiaomi is all set for another flash sale in Malaysia. Earlier, the company had launched its Mi 3 smartphone on May 19, followed by Redmi-series and since then it has carried out various flash sales in the country. However, if you missed out during the past sales, the company will hosting the next sale on 26th August 2014 at 12pm on the official MI website.

There are 2000 sets of Mi 3, 15000 sets of Redmi note, 5000 units of 5200mAh Power Bank, 10000 units of 10400mAh Power Bank and 2500 units of Mi in-ear Headphone available as part of this sale.

There are no Redmi 1S on sale at official Malaysia Xiaomi site, but you can purchase smartphone on Lazada Malaysia starting 3PM on August 27.

To remind you, Mi 3 has been priced at RM 769 in the country and is an excellent value-for-money. It comes with a 5.-inch full HD display, Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, Android 4.4.2-based MIUI and 13MP rear camera.

Redmi Note packs a 5.5-inch HD IPS display and powered by 1.7 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor. In addition, it features 2GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage with an option to expand up to 32GB via microSD card, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera and 3100mAh battery. It is available at RM 509.

The 10400mAh Power Bank and 5200mAh power bank are available at RM 36 and RM 25 respectively. Mi in-ear Headphone can be purchased at RM 50.

HTC releases Android 4.4.3 update for One (M7) in Malaysia

Android 4.3 update for HTC One M7HTC has rolled out Android 4.4.3 KitKat update for its HTC One (M7) smartphone in Malaysia. The update is around 605MB in size and carries version number 6.13.707.1.

Android 4.4.3 update will most likely be the last KitKat build for the One (M7) as all the changes that Android devices get after updating to Android 4.4.4 are now integrated in this KitKat 4.4.3 release and  HTC is already in process of directly moving the phone to Android L.

As the update is available over-the-air (OTA), you will get a notification for the same on your phone. However, if you haven’t gotten any notification yet, there is no need to worry as it is being rolled out in phases. If you want to try it early, can look for the update manually. To check for the update, go to Settings > About Phone > Software Update.

The new version contain OpenSSL security fixes, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and mobile networks tweaks, camera improvements, and gallery app optimization. The settings menu now features power history and HTC Sync Manager support.

Acer launches Iconia One 7 along with Yes 4G in Malaysia

Acer Iconia One 7Taiwanese manufacturer Acer has launched its new 7-inch Iconia One 7 tablet in the Malaysia. The company is collaborating with telecom operator Yes for the release of the tablet, which will be bundling the Huddle XS Wi-Fi Hotspot with it.

The tablet will come pre-installed with Yes wallpaper and Yes Life app to allow users to make free voice calls and SMS with Internet plan.

Acer has stated that the tablet will also be offered as a standalone device after the contract period between Yes and the company but did not specify the details of the contract period.

Coming to the specifications, it runs on Android 4.2 and is powered by 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2560 processor. In addition, the tablet packs 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, 2MP rear camera and 0.3MP front shooter.

Xiaomi Redmi 1S to go on sale at Lazada Malaysia beginning Aug 27

Xiaomi Redmi 1sOnline Shopping Mall Lazada Malaysia is all set to sell Xiaomi Redmi 1S smartphone for RM419. As per a press release issued by the retailer, the smartphone will be available from 3PM on 27 August.

Earlier, the device was launched at the Xiaomi Malaysia website and also retails via Digi and Celcon telecom operators, who are offering the phone free with postpaid plans. Lazada will be offering 3,000 units on first come, first serve basis.

Just to recap, the Redmi 1S smartphone comes with a 4.7-inch 1280x720p HD display and is powered by a 1.6GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 400 processor. It also packs 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage with an option to expand it with microSD card, 8MP rear camera, 1.6MP front camera and 2,000mAh battery.

Oppo R831S coming soon to Malaysia

Oppo malaysiaOppo has posted a teaser on its official Facebook page that it is brining a new 4G smartphone to the Malaysian market. The smartphone in the teaser looks a lot like Oppo R831S, which was launched in China earlier. It is likely that it will noww be released in Malaysia with an affordable price-tag (probably below RM1,000).

Coming to specifications (as launched in China), the smartphone runs on Android and is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core processor. In addition, it packs 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory with option to expand up to 32GB via microSD card, 5MP rear camera, 2MP front camera and a 1,900mAh battery.

No other details are availasble right now but as soon as we hear something from the company we will let you know.
