Huawei Mate 10 Pro coming to Malaysia on November 24

Huawei Mate 10 ProChinese smartphone maker Huawei has revealed that it will be releasing the new Mate 10 Pro smartphone in Malaysia on November 24. The phone will join its cousin Mate 10, which is already on sale in the country.

According to Huawei, the Mate 10 Pro will carry a price-tag of RM 3,099. The pre-order for the phone will open November 16 and will continue until November 19. The phone is being offered in Midnight Blue and Mocha Brown colours. » Read more: Huawei Mate 10 Pro coming to Malaysia on November 24

ZTE Grand Memo LTE expected to be the first 4G LTE phone for Chinese market

ZTE has announced that its Grand Memo LTE smartphone will be the first 4G LTE smartphone to go on sale in China. The phone recently became the first smartphone to be awarded a TD-LTE handset permit by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in the country.ZTE Grand Memo

There is no word on the launch date right now as any of the 4G networks are yet to live in the country but we hope to hear something soon.

ZTE Grand Memo LTE is basically the TD-LTE supported version of the company’s earlier announced Grand Memo smartphone. It packs a 5.7-inch HD display with 1280x720p resolution, 1.5GHz Tegra 3 quad-core processor, 13MP rear camera. The phone is capable of working on TD-LTE/FDD/TDS/GSM bands.

Nexus 7 (2013) now available via Google Play Korea

Google has started selling the Wi-Fi versions of its Nexus 7 (2013) tablet in South Korea via Google Play earlier today. The tablet can be purchased for 329,000 won (16GB version), or 369,000 won (32GB version).

There is no word on the availability of LTE version in the country. In addition to the Google Play availability, consumers can also purchase the Wi-Fi versions of the Nexus 7 tablet from stores like Lotte Mart, Hi Mart, Shinsegae Mall, Auction, E-Mart, and E-Mart Mall.

To remind you, Nexus 7 (2013) features a 7-inch 1920x1200p display, quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB of RAM, 16/ 32GB of storage, 5MP rear camera, 1.2MP front camera, Android 4.3, and 3950 mAh battery.

Coolpad to launch 6 TD-LTE smartphones in China

Coolpad is reportedly planning to introduce four to six LTE smartphones in the Chinese market by the end of this year as China Mobile readies to roll-out its 4G LTE network in the country. Coolpad has already showcased one of its upcoming 4G LTE smartphone Coolpad 8920, which features a 5-inch HD display and comes with support for both FDD-LTE and TD-LTE.Coolpad 8920

Other specs of the phone include 1.7GHz quad-core processor, Android 4.1, 8MP rear camera, and 3000 mAh battery.

According to a report in Sina Tech, Coolpad will also release a flagship TD-LTE smartphone this year, which will be priced over 3,000 yuan.  Other details about this flagship phone and other LTE phones from the company are unclear at this moment.

Hisense releases X6T TD-LTE Android smartphone

Chinese vendor Hisense has announced it is working on a TD-LTE smartphone called X6T. The new smartphone, which was showcased at a recent industry event, packs a 5-inch display and supports TD-LTE/FDD-LTE/TD-SCDMA/W-CDMA/GSM technologies.Hisense X6T

According to Blog of Mobile, the Hisense X6T will come with Android 4.2, 13MP rear camera, 16GB of internal storage and 2,000 mAh battery.  Other details are not clear at this moment but we hope to hear from the company in near future.

To remind you, smartphone manufacturers are increasingly realising the potential of TD-LTE and supported devices, also the acceptance of this standard in China and India, which are two of the biggest smartphone markets, has certainly helped.

Samsung has already launched Samsung Galaxy Note II N7108D as its first TD-LTE smartphone in China, while TCL Communication Technology Holdings has announced its plans to introduce their first TD-LTE smartphone later this month. Other manufacturers like LG are also not left behind, which release Optimus G TD-LTE version Saudi Arabia back in May and is planning to launch it in other markets.

HTC Butterfly launched in Taiwan for NT$22,990

HTC has launched its new flagship Butterfly in the home country today. The smartphone has been priced at NT$22,990 (USD 790 approx.). Featuring quad-core processor and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, HTC Butterfly will be available some time before the end-of-year in the market.

HTC has already released the phone in China and Japan countries in Asia.
