Japanese carrier Softbank unveiled their new smartphone Aquos Crystal today. The device has been developed by Softbank in partnership with US telecom operator Sprint and will be released in Japan as well as US.
According to Softbank, Aquos Crystal will go on sale in Japan on August 29 and will be available in US soon.
Coming to the specifications, the smartphone runs on Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) OS and is powered by 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor. In addition, the phone comes with a 5-inch 720p HD display and 4G LTE support. It also packs 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and microSD card slot for expanding the memory.
Softbank is also providing the Herman Carden Onyx Studio wireless speaker with the phone.
“With the expansion of a procurement scale, we can provide competitive devices with our own specifications,” said Maki Tahara, the head of marketing strategy at Softbank Mobile Corp at a presser in Tokyo.
