Xiaomi, Chinese smartphone maker, is likely to launch its flagship Mi 4 smartphone by the year’s end in India. As per company’s head of India operations Manu Kumar Jain, Xiaomi is expected to release Mi 4 during November or December this year.
Manu Jain, while speaking with IANS, also revealed that Redmi Note will be arriving in a month from now.
“Redmi Note, which is the elder brother of Redmi 1S, with a 5.5-inch panel, will hit the market around three-four weeks from now,” said Jain.
Xiaomi is also planning to open Mi Home experience centres in India and first such centre will come up in Bangalore within four to six months. Xiaomi already has such centres in China, where the company display products, accessories and these centres also acts as service centre. There is a small lounge or cafeteria as well available for the customers.
In addition, Xiaomi is planning to expand the service centres in India and new centres will be opened at Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai and Gurgaon. These four service centres will be run directly by the company.
Manu Jain also revealed that Xiaomi is planning to use alternative channels of sales. The company may soon start selling through their official website mi.com as they have been doing in other countries like Singapore and Philippines.
